During our stay in Ireland we all had the opportunity to stay with a host family. Before we arrived in Ireland, most of us had some concerns about how the food and the family will be but most of them blurred. Some students had some difficulties with their host families, so they had to stay with other families. After a few days everyone was satisfied with his place to stay. I stayed together with another student of our group at a lovely family with three little children. Two days after our arrival two Spanish girls joined our family for two weeks, too. After those two weeks our host family got two other Slovenian girls. We had a lot of fun with the exchange students and even cooked Pancakes together. Furthermore, we had always many chances to talk and improve our English. As we didn’t live in the city centre we spent a lot of time playing with the three little children. We even had a bouncy castle for one week because it was the 3rd birthday of our host brother. Also, we got to know friends of our host family at a barbeque. They were friendly and were really interested in Austria. Finally, we lived in a big house and had enough space to live. Almost every evening we spent watching a Hurling Match on TV. Concluding I can say, that it was a really great experience for me to live with a completely different family. I could recommend my host family and hope that I can visit them in the future.
